WESSEX Division One leaders Laverstock & Ford left it late, but they are through to the next round of the Wiltshire Senior Cup.

Despite having trailed 3-2 to underdogs Wroughton with just ten minutes to go, they ultimately won 4-3 courtesy of Olly Hoare's stoppage time winner.

In-form Wroughton, currently sitting pretty at the Wiltshire Premier Division summit, arrived at The Dell having lost just once in 11 league and cup games and, thanks to Shane Hibbert's hat-trick, looked on course to cause the upset of the round.

However, 'Stock levelled the tie for 3-3 in the 84th minute and with extra-time looming Hoare coolly netted a 90th minute spot kick.

In an often-thrilling contest at Church Road, Lewis Wykes bagged a brace with Adam Bourner also on target for the hosts, who join the likes of neighbours Salisbury FC, Bemerton Heath Harlequins and Amesbury Town in the second round draw.

Laverstock return to league duty on Saturday with the a top of the table clash at home to third-placed Tadley Calleva (3pm).
