BEMERTON Heath Harlequins have confirmed four pre-season friendlies ahead of their 2017/18 Wessex League campaign.

The Premier Division outfit will visit Wareham Rangers on Saturday, July 1, then host Gosport Borough on Thursday, July 20.

AFC Totton will be at Western Way on Tuesday, July 25, with a trip to Whitchurch United completing the quartet on Saturday, July 29.

Heath, now managed by Rae Hughes, who had a highly successful season at Wessex Division One side Downton last term, have made a number of key signings already this summer.

Robbie Matthews rejoins the club having played for the likes of Salisbury City, Kidderminster Harriers, Newport County, Forest Green Rovers, Eastleigh and Winchester City since he last graced Western Way. Matthews, 35, will also have a role in Heath's management team, which also includes Andy Nash and James Richardson.

Other new recruits include Downton duo Jamie Waters and Lewis Barr, Scott Hassell (ex-Whitchurch) and Lewis Watch, formerly of Gosport.

Among Heath's senior players to have committed their immediate futures to the club are Jack Slade, Jake Burgess and Jake Rawkins.

AMESBURY Town have confirmed a quartet of pre-season friendlies at their Bonneymead Park ground.

The Wessex Premier outfit host Devizes Town on Saturday, July 8, then welcome Sherborne Town a week later.

Oxford Nomads visit on Tuesday, July 25 with Wessex Division One side Weymouth Reserves completing the warm-up matches on July 29.

The Western Way side wishes to hear from anyone interested in becoming manager of the side or part of the management team ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.

The club is also inviting any would-be players to contact them ahead of pre-season training.
