SALISBURY wrestling champion The Anthrax Kidd will be among a dozen larger than life professional wrestling stars who will be drop-kicking and body-slamming their way into the city this evening as Combat Sports Federation (CSF) Promotions arrive with a huge programme of International Main Event Wrestling.

A family-friendly evening of hard hitting action will see a total of six professional bouts take place at Five Rivers Leisure Centre.

CSF Promotions are one of the leading wrestling match makers in the UK and organisers say they have an exciting line up ready to do battle.

The over the top thrills, spills and drama of the sport will see Dave Mercy face Kay Jutler, the undefeated N-Rage will face the masked star known as Salem, Alex Steele will compete against the popular Jonny Gold while one of the UK's top stars James Baker will go one on one with the mighty Nathan Bane.

Other bouts will see a Tag Team and championship match up take place along with Salisbury's own wrestling star Anthrax Kidd Tristian Hayes who will be making a rare appearance in his home city.

Hayes has had a 14-year career that has seen him not only compete in the UK but in four international tours, one in America and three in Australia.

In 2005, as part of an Australian Tour, Hayes captured the Australian Heavyweight Championship from Tyson Gibbs.

A spokesman for the event said: "The evening will be suitable for all the family and can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

The CSF will host over two hours of non stop action, which has to be seen live to be believed. We are looking forward to again visiting Salisbury and entertaining the fans.”

Doors open at 6.45pm with a 7.15pm showtime and 9:30pm finish. Following the event there will be an opportunity to meet the wrestlers and obtain photos and autographs.

Tickets, £10 adult (16 and over) and £8 concessions (under 16s, senior citizens and NUS card holders), are available on the night from the Leisure Centre or in advance from Salisbury Tourist Information Centre.

Telephone 01722 334956 for more details. Tickets can be reserved for collection on the night by contacting This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or visiting the CSF website: www.csfwrestling.co.uk

Ahead of his eagerly-awaited homecoming appearance, Salisbury wrestling star Hayes, aka The Anthrax Kidd said: “This is my ninth match in my home town and I'm looking forward to it as always.

I'm coming off a losing streak and hope to get back to my winning ways.

I turned 30 this year and the years of ring wars are starting to catch up with me. This year alone I've undergone several physiotherapy, acupuncture and chiropractic massage sessions for injuries which I won't divulge this close to a match in case my opponent is reading!

I've been working on my flexibility and have a new favourite hold which I've named the 'put out to pasture suplex,' which along with my trusty 'Toxic Shock' Lariot is a wicked combo sure to put my opponent away.”
