SALISBURY racer Stuart Waite was in action over the Bank Holiday weekend at Castle Combe, competing in both the Gaz Shocks Production BMW Championship and the Project 8 Racing Production BMW Non-Championship Race. Having qualified 28th in a packed grid of 49 BMW 3 Series cars for the Gaz Shocks Production BMW Championship, Waite put in an excellent performance by making his way through the pack to finish a very creditable 16th. Qualifying for his second race of the day went slightly better with Waite claiming 21st spot on the grid of 37. Just as his second outing of the day began, a light shower promised to liven up the track and the Salisbury driver showed his skill by mastering the damp and tricky conditions to finish fourth.
