HAVING already done well at their club gradings, Harnham Gym Club were well represented at the County Grades competition earlier this month at the Wiltshire School of Gymnastics.
Round One saw three Grade Four girls achieve their pass mark, while in the eight years group, Oni Taiwo with 42.550, and Ciara Slater, in the nine years group with 44.650, and Rosie Potter, 43.300, gave the club an excellent start.
Charlotte Joint, who had previously achieved a gold medal with distinction at the club grades, then produced a stunning performance to take gold with a score of 43.550 in the Round Two Grade three-11 and over grouping.
Also in Round Two in the Grade one-12 and over group, Samantha Smith's 44.050 score was enough to secure bronze.
Laura Burton then completed a memorable day for the Harnham club when in the Round Three of the Grade two-12 and over group, a score of 44.050 enabled her to claim the fourth place rosette.
Club secretary Arthur Millie was full of praise for the girls: "All of our six gymnasts performed so well, with great skill and enthusiasm and the club is delighted with their results.
"We must also say a big thank you to the the parents and to Jim, Lucy and Suzi who worked with the girls throughout the day and to Hannah and Arthur who spent all day judging."
