LA Fitness moved into third place in the Hampshire Premier League with a stunning 4-1 win over leaders Lee-on-Solent.
Star player Scott Handley, currently ranked 20 in England, made short work of Tim Vail in the number one string match, winning 11-6, 11-3, 11-8.
The only reversal of the evening came in the second string where Clive Ewins went down to Brandon Hanley in three tight games (9-11, 9-11, 10-12).
The rest of the match was a real triumph for the Salisbury based club as the three home grown players all won through.
Simon White, at three, lost his first game 12-14 to Chris Rand, but came through 3-1 after winning the next two games easily 11-6, 11-4, and a tense fourth game 12-10.
At four, Jason Pike made short work of Paul Trott winning 11-6, 11-4, 11-8 while at five James Ryan battled through two close games with Rich Edmunds to open up a 2-0 lead 11-9, 12-10 before running away with the final game 11-4 for a fine 3-0 win.
Resident coach Paul Chaplin was full of praise for the side: "It was a brilliant win against the league leaders. We are now nicely into third place with a game in hand over Lee.
"Portsmouth have now gone top in what is turning out to be the highest standard Premier League ever."
