RJW Castle kicked off their Salisbury & District League campaign on Saturday with a comfortable 5-0 win against Railway Social Club.

Sarum Youth, beaten the previous weekend in their opener, picked up their first point of the campaign when sharing the spoils with Porton Sports following a 2-2 draw.

The league's Sunday section got underway with plenty of goals being scored in both divisions.

Three games were completed in the top flight - Durrington FC put five past West Tytherley without reply, while Bulford WMC were 5-2 victors in their opener at home to Barford Hornets.

Alderbury got the better of Danny's Bar 4-2 with the game between Laverstock & Ford and West Harnham being abandoned.

Division Two's quartet of fixtures produced a total of 30 goals.

South Newton & Wishford led the way with an 11-1 success at home to St Pauls, while George & Dragon put five past Laverstock & Ford Reserves without reply.

The Wheatsheaf (Wilton) picked up three opening day points getting the better of Winchester Gate by the odd goal in seven.

Meanwhile, The Village Freehouse and Barford Hornets Reserves shared the points and six goals.
