BUOYED by last weekend's FA Cup heroic exploits, Salisbury FC return to league duty this afternoon with a trip to Gloucestershire to face Shortwood United.

The Whites, who turned the tables on Southern Premier outfit Farnborough last week in a five-goal thriller to earn a home tie with National League South side Poole Town, are currently seventh in the Division One West table.

Two wins, a draw and one defeat from their opening quartet of league games have earned them seven points - three more than today's hosts, who are seven places below.

Shortwood go into today's game on the back of a double success against Slimbridge. Having defeated them 3-1 away in the league late last month courtesy of a Levi Cox hat-trick, Monday evening saw them return from their enforced break due to no FA Cup action, to register a 2-1 county cup victory.

Kick off at Meadowbank is at 3pm.
