AMESBURY Town and Laverstock & Ford enjoyed FA Cup wins on Saturday, but Bemerton Heath Harlequins tasted defeat away at Wessex Premier rivals Hamworthy United.

'Stock were 3-0 winners in their Extra Preliminary Round tie at Whitchurch United, while the Blues beat Eversley California, who were making their FA Cup debut, 4-0.

Kieran Stephens scored twice for Amesbury with Harry Beckley and Luke Greenway also on target. Town will now visit AFC Portchester in the next round.

'Stock's reward is a home tie with either Bournemouth or Knaphill. They progressed to the Preliminary Round stage courtesy of goals by Rob Gallagher, Graham Mankin and James Clifton.

As well as a place in the next round, both victors will receive £1,500 from the competition's prize fund.

Harlequins, who lost to Andover Town in the league in midweek, went down 4-1. Russ Jones scored for the visitors with Jamie Filkins, Mark Ford, Steven Smith and Nathan Walker netting for United.
