WILTSHIRE County Cricket Club suffered another defeat in the Western Division of the Unicorns County Championship when they lost to Devon by six wickets.

After winning the toss at South Wilts' Wilton Road ground and choosing to bat, they struggled to 208 all out in 85 overs.

South Wilts youngster Will Wade top scored with a patient 69, while Billy Cookson and Mikey Reynolds scored 33 apiece as T. Codd took 4-27, and Joss Bess 3-30.

But by close of play on the first day Devon looked in some trouble at 85-5.

The second day saw the visitors all out for 127 - 32 coming from Tom Ansell, while Tahir Afridi registered figures of 4-50 while James Arney claimed 3-30.

But Wiltshire again stuttered with the bat were all out for 199 just after tea. Wadworth man of the match Wade scored 33 - the same as Ed Young -while Jake Lintott made 34 and Afridi 32. Zak Bess shone for Devon, taking 4-25.

Devon required 281 to win and by close of play had reached 88-2.

Wiltshire enjoyed a bright start to the third and final day, taking two early wickets to leave Devon 112-4.

However, this proved the hosts' final success as the Bess brothers - Josh, 90 not out, and Zak, 75 not out, put on 173 to wrap up the win.
