SOUTH Wilts Cricket Club registered a memorable victory after looking destined for defeat away at New Milton on Saturday.

Having won the toss and electing to bat, the visitors were bowled out for a mere 97 with Jack Mynott, 32, Tom Cowley, 21, and Ian Holland, 19, the only batsmen to reach double figures.

However, the Salisbury side then ripped through the New Milton line-up, restricting them to just 42 - thanks to Holland's 4-11, and Luke Evans' 5-20. James Hibberd, 1-9, also picked up a wicket.

The win, their fourth of the campaign, leaves South Wilts fourth in the table.
