2009 has been a special year for South Wilts Archery Club, because, founded in 1859, the club has been celebrating its 150th birthday.

The club’s ‘150th Birthday Shoot’ took place on a damp evening, with the wind offering far from ideal conditions for the archers.

The handicap shoot was based on a Warwick at differing distances.

Awards, in the form of ‘150th Birthday’ plaques, were handed out to the top three in each category by John Blocksidge and Ray Gallop.
