WRESTLING is on the bill at Salisbury’s Five Rivers Leisure Centre next month when the Combat Sports Federation showcases some of the sport’s current stars.
An evening of family entertainment is served up at the Hulse Road venue on Saturday, November 21 with Salisbury’s own Tristian Hayes, aka The Anthrax Kid among those in the ring.
Now in his 13th year as a professional wrestler, Hayes is eagerly looking forward to competing for only the seventh time in his home city.
“I've wrestled all over the world now with three tours down under and one to the States, but wrestling in Salisbury means so much more to me as it's where I first watched live wrestling when I was a kid,” he told Sport4Salisbury.
“I've a tough opponent lined up on the 21st at Five Rivers and if I can promise the people of Salisbury one thing it's this: You won't want to miss this match! I'm bringing everything I've got and I expect nothing less from my opponent.”
The full line up is still to be finalised, but could include Gideon, Jeckle, Dave Mercy, Canno Tangoe, Gallowman, Alex Steele & The Pox, Urban Warrior, Faith and Lee Class.
The event starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £10 (adults) and £8 (concessions).
Doors open at 7pm.
Tickets are available in advance from Salisbury Tourist Information - ring 01722 334956 for details.
