WILLIAM Buick enjoyed a stunning hat-trick at Salisbury this afternoon, winning the opening three races of the track's final meeting of the year.
Buick delivered Noble Gift (7/2), Trapeze (7/2) and Bassett Road (11/2) past the judge first in the day's opening three races.
Course specialist Richard Hannon picked up yet another winner when Shamaal Nibras got the better of Buick aboard 2/5 favourite Gregorian. It was the Marlborough trainer's 14th win of 2012 at Salisbury.
Meanwhile, the venue's top jockey of 2012, Richard Hughes, enjoyed a magnificent seven wins at Windsor this afternoon.
He becomes only the second jockey to claim seven victories at a UK meeting - his achievement is the first since Frankie Dettori's memorable day at Ascot back in 1996.
At Salisbury, stablemate Pat Dobbs presented a cheque on Hughes' behalf to Wiltshire Air Ambulance Service, in recognition of his success at the Netherhampton track this summer.
Hughes was top Salisbury jockey with 14 wins.
