YOUNGSTERS from Woodfalls, Morgans Vale and Landford won a trophy at the Peter Palmer inter-club relay competition held at Sutton Coldfield last weekend.

The team of six runners from Sarum Orienteering Club finished seventh out of 28 clubs competing at the West Midlands event and took the prize for the fastest small club (fewer than 100 members).

The competition's relay race around Sutton Park started in the dark at 5am.

Staged for juniors between the ages of 11 and 18, it is named after one of Britain’s famous orienteering
coaches.

The Sarum team included Lucy Butt who represented GBR at the recent Junior World Championships.
